Slovak Souper Bowl III is a competition of homemade Slovak soups and is open to all. Only two soups per category will be allowed (e.g., two chicken noodle soups). All attendees, both competing and non-competing, will vote on the soups. The winner will receive a special trophy. If you are not competing, please feel free to bring an appetizer or dessert to share.
The social part of the evening will include the Slovak board game Človeče nezlob sa (similar to the game Sorry). The set was hand made by a Slovak-American immigrant in the 1950s or 1960s.
COMPETITORS:
Send your RSVP to rsvp@dcslovaks.org and tell us what kind of soup you’ll be bringing. If at all possible, bring your soup in a slow cooker or something that will keep it warm. Bring enough soup for 20+ persons to try, any toppings, a ladle, and 20 copies of the recipe.
