Join us to say “šťastné výročie” and recognize this monumental milestone in the Slovak American Society of Washington D.C.’s history!
We’re celebrating our 35th anniversary the best way we know how – with a party! Join us at The Lake House in Reston at 11450 Baron Cameron Ave, Reston, VA 20190 on Sunday, October 20th for an evening of fun and food as we celebrate how far we’ve come – and look ahead to SASW’s future.
This event will feature a “Taste of Slovakia,” a selection of small plates and heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared by Danka Plevkova and members of our own SASW Social Committee. We will also have a bar featuring Slovak wine, beer, and signature cocktails. Shots of Slovak liquor will be available for a donation, with proceeds benefiting our City University scholarship fund.
Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. and the event will run until 8:00 p.m. Free parking is available on premises. If you are traveling by Metro, the closest station is Reston Town Center (2.0 miles away).
Tickets are $40 per individual (age 12 and under can attend free). Prepaid reservations are due no later than Wednesday, October 9th or until we reach full capacity. This event will be capped at 100 attendees.
