In partnership with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Washington, D.C., we invite you to attend the second event in Slovakia@30 series – a conversation on “30 Years of Slovak Domestic Politics” with Dr. Kevin Deegan-Krause, Professor of Political Science, Wayne State University, and SASW President Georgene Chastain on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 12:00 PM Noon.
Kevin Deegan-Krause is the foremost U.S. expert on Slovak domestic politics and has spent more than two decades studying how political parties compete against one another and how that competition shapes what happens in a democracy. His ongoing research focuses on the emergence of new Slovak political parties and the transformation of existing ones.
Slovakia@30 is a collaborative initiative of Friends of Slovakia (FOS) and the Slovak American Society of Washington, D.C. (SASW), consisting of four talks to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Slovak independence in 2023.
